Libraries offer live theatre.

There’s a chance to see live theatre at two of Bath & North East Somerset Council’s Libraries this month.

On October 5 & 6, Midsomer Norton and Keynsham Libraries will host two new plays by Tom Wainwright.

The plays have been commissioned by Theatre Royal Bath as part of their Engage on the Road project.
Engage on the Road is the most ambitious outreach touring project to date from the theatre’s Engage programme, which gives local people the opportunity to become involved in all aspects of theatre.

The plays are stripped-back, intimate pieces of new writing looking at motherhood and to the future. Titled ‘Chloe and Lou’ and ‘Clara and Rosa’, the plays are suitable for audiences sixteen years and over.

Councillor Martin Veal (Conservative, Bathavon North), Cabinet Member for Community Services, said: ““It’s great to be working in partnership with Theatre Royal Bath again this time bringing live theatre right into the heart of Midsomer Norton and Keynsham. Our libraries are playing an increasingly active role in providing access to a wide range of opportunities and services for people of all ages across Bath and North East Somerset.”
