Bath & North East Somerset Council has had a meeting with its contractor to discuss progress at Widcombe Parade and to ensure the remaining work is completed in a timely and safe manner.

Work to resurface Widcombe Parade and Pulteney Road South has already been completed, and car parking spaces reopened. The Council thanks the community for their patience during the overnight work to complete this.
A number of specialist contractors are scheduled to complete the surfacing, installation and testing of new traffic signals on the A36, Rossiter Road and Claverton Street (week commencing May 18) – there will be no daytime road closures during this work.
Once the work is completed, two-way A36 traffic will be then routed on to Rossiter Road and Claverton Street. Pulteney Road South will become two-way. Widcombe Parade will be available for one way local traffic East-bound. Access to Lyncombe Hill, St Marks Road, Widcombe Hill and Prior Park Road remains two-way.
The Council and its contractor will ensure that the works are completed to a position enabling the Widcombe Rising festival to go ahead on June 7.
Further updates will be given in advance of the day A36 traffic is to be diverted out of Widcombe Parade.
