As usual the Council’s Parks Department has been putting in intense effort to make Bath’s Parade Gardens a bower of beautiful blooms.

What a shame it is all let down by the state of the refuse bins scattered around this pleasant arbour beside the River Avon.
They are visibly overdue for replacement.

While this is just a case of time, effort and cost – what about the major blot on the landscape. The dreadful electricity sub station which stands out like a sore thumb.
No effort made to blend this monstrous carbuncle into the landscape.
Surely a competition to attract local artists might be one solution. Though its complete removal would be much better. Is there another way?
