Don’t know what the problems regarding emptying these bins has been but the overflow was reported Friday and mess was still there as of Sunday afternoon.

It is a terrible stink to be sure for anyone aiming to cross the Grosvenor Bridge across the River Avon.
What l cannot understand though is – if you see the bins are full – wouldn’t it be more public spirited to take your dog mess home with you and dispose of it.

I will not accept the argument that this bagful has been left in the tree for collection later. Surely its part of owning a beloved dog to care for it in every way – and bear the responsibility of ownership.
This is a route way onto the Kennert and Avon Canal towpath into town that is growing in popularity for dog walkers, families and cyclists.
In fact money is being found to upgrade the pathway and canal bank route into Bath so the rubbish facilities need upgrading.
