New Temple Precinct walk opens

What’s referred to in the business as a ‘soft-opening’ for the new suspended walkway which will allow visitors to the Roman Baths to feel they are walking across the temple precinct just inches below their feet.

So no ribbon-cutting ceremony or drumroll but this is an important stage in an overall plan to allow more of the ruins to be seen and to improve access for those who may be in wheel chairs.

Lift installations due for the autumn will complete that task.

The iconic head of Minerva is also much better displayed with a replica available to touch – especially valuable for those with impaired vision.
