Well the scaffolding may have come down from most of the exterior of the Roman Baths/ Pump Room complex in Abbey Churchyard but inside the ticket hall a stack of poles and platforms has just gone up.
This was the Concert Room which now serves as a splendid reception hall to the Roman Baths.

It has a coffered dome with a glazed lantern and apses with half-domes at either end.

The scaffolding now reaches right up into that and people queuing for tickets are having to pass underneath it. Seems there is a broken pane of glass in the dome and – as you can see – it is not that easy to get to it!
The scaffolding is due to come down first thing on Wednesday – April 9th.
