Looks like better weather has helped the Roman Baths and Fashion Museum make up this year for disappointing visitor numbers in 2012 when rain and the Olympics kept people away.
Meeting up with Stephen Bird – Head of Heritage Services for B&NES – the Virtual Museum had a chance to talk about that, some half-term excitement coming up during Heritage Open Week, and plans to improve accessibility with a step-free suspended walk-way soon to be constructed in the Temple Precinct part of the Roman Baths complex.
While the work is undertaken the head of Minerva will be moved from its present location – where the work will be undertaken – so visitors will continue to be able to view it.
