It’s no picnic

Here’s a picnic table that appears to have seen happier days, but l am not sure they were spent in its current and precarious position.

It’s on the weir-side edge of the Pulteney Bridge floodgate, and I am amazed it hasn’t been washed away.

I also have no idea how it got there.

  1. Hi Richard, that’ll be table 26, washed downstream from the Cross Guns, Avoncliffe. It’s had quite a journey! Incidentally, parts of another table from the Cross Guns beached at Saltford by the Jolly Sailor last year. Cheers, Bill
