Great to see The Square restaurant, fronting onto Abbey Church Yard, has ditched the plastic flowers in favour of the REAL thing!

It really does look much better.

  2. Couldn’t agree more.

    Talking of squares, such a shame that more cannot be made of Abbey Green. Such potential, if only the central area around the glorious London Plane tree could be adapted to take tables and chairs, together with more tables around the edges of the square. Abbey Green could be as wonderful as any Parisian square.

  4. I’m not convinced that all our elegant squares and facades are improved by festoons of herbiage, plastic or real. It’s the creeping Bridgerton effect!
