Hence, the reason I have had to re-record my questions to a locally based author who has written a book describing how the depiction of the Vietnam War on the big screen brought about a change in how Hollywood handled something that was a defeat rather than a victory.

Joe Houlihan – an award-winning journalist and television producer – launched his book ‘Vietnam on the big screen: How the Vietnam War changed Hollywood” at BRLSI (Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution) last night. He is the convenor there for lectures on Military History.
As I wasn’t able to attend l caught up with him today at his Widcombe home.
With so many wars to choose from for movie material, I wanted to know why he’d chosen the Vietnam War.
