Bloomberg Connects – oh yes it does!

Popped into the Victoria Art Gallery yesterday to see the Poster Power exhibition, now completely installed and open for viewing.

It’s a fabulous display of political and social history – creating a colourful gallery in which you can forget the dreadful January weather outside.

The image that leads this article is a 1995 degree show poster on loan from Bath Spa University. The posters don’t offer much in the way of additional information. What you see is what you are meant to get after all.

However l must urge you to download the Bloomberg Connects FREE app, which allows you to “explore expert-curated content and guides to over 1250 museums, galleries, sculpture parks, gardens, and cultural spaces from the palm of your hand.

From behind-the-scenes guides to artist and expert-curated video and audio content, Bloomberg Connects makes it easy to discover arts and culture, anytime, anywhere.”

It’s a tool that comes in handy when you are exploring the poster exhibition, as each poster is listed on the app with additional information available on its background.

I am grateful to the gallery for including a poster featuring my face! My one and only professional panto at Bath’s Theatre Royal.

Click on that image on Bloomberg Connects, and it will take you to my recollections of that 1989 on bathnewseum.com

Incidentally, the image appearing on Facebook brought in many reactions, including from some people who thought I had ‘passed on!’

Taking a bow with Geoffrey Hughes, Roy Hudd, Allen Christie and Jack Tripp – back in 1989.

I am still here. Oh yes l am!!
