Literally, just back from a long week-end in The Lake District. We started with a visit to friends in Birmingham, and ended up spending two nights in a Cumbrian ‘Pod’ close to Coniston village and lake.
A moist but somewhat magical experience, and here’s a rare rainbow over Coniston Water – the third largest in volume after Windermere and Ullswater. It’s more than five miles long and up to 184 feet deep.
