Mr green fingers

A phone call from Singapore transformed the business prospects of a small firm of landscape architects – based in Bath – into an international player. Andrew Grant and his team were given the task of transforming reclaimed land in this city-state in maritime Southeast Asia into a national icon called Gardens in the Bay.

His love of nature has seen his local involvement in the annual Forest of the Imagination creative event to bring nature into the city.

While that’s a temporary installation, he’s keen to see more attention to turning Bath greener in the future – and that means even its Georgian heritage having to play a role.

I am grateful to Coppa Club in Milsom Street for allowing us to meet over a coffee and chat about his life and career AND his love for Bath. Please forgive the fact l am suffering from a bit of a chest infection!
