Welcome back!

Some good news in from Paul Thomas, who writes:

‘You will be pleased to know that the Bath Medical Museum is opening its doors again, officially, for the next two weeks at its new premises.

After a break of nearly three years, Bath Medical Museum opens its doors again at 1 Hetling Court BA1 1SH.

Although a little difficult to find, because its entrance is partially hidden by roadworks, it is very close to the the new Thermae Spa entrance and the Cross Baths. The museum will be open every day from 12pm to 4pm until November 5th.

The museum is displaying some of its large exhibits, mounting a small exhibition of International Aspects of Well Being, and has several hands-on activities for families and three trails.

One to discover the 12 mysteries of the Hetling Room, the second to discover the story of the three hot springs of Bath and a chance to test the waters and stand in the place where Jane Austen’s brother stood in 1799!

The third is  a family shop window trail around central Bath – featuring items from the BMM collection.

All families completing the shop window trail will receive a BMM bookmark.”
