Some of you may or may not know that l had taken myself off – with my husband – for a few days in the sun.
The expression ‘dog days’ seems very fitting when describing the weather we ‘enjoyed’ as we were sweltering under the long-stationary ‘High’ – giving very high temperatures over parts of Spain, Italy and Greece.
You see the weathermen have called it ‘Cerberus’ after the Hound of Hades. That’s the mythical multi-headed dog guarding the gates to Hell!
The night before we flew back we had one last special meal and a glass of wine to toast our mini holiday. Then the following idea struck home!
