Things are on the move again at Bath’s former Georgian Lido!
Paul Simons who is Chair of the Trustees of Cleveland Pools has forwarded me a picture of the Museums and Heritage Awards presentation in London last Thursday when Cleveland Pools received the national award for restoration project of the year, 2023.
He tells me the Pools have also been shortlisted for a Europa Nostra award, supported by the Council of Europe and the Creative Europe programme of the EU, an announcement will be made on the 13th of June as to the winners.
Also, that on Friday 12th of May the contract for the construction and installation of the pontoon was signed by the Trust for £464K and preparation works will commence this week.
The pontoon has to be in place to allow the heat exchanger system to work and warm the waters that – hopefully – people will be swimming in by the summer holidays.
