Bath photographer Rob Coles has kindly added to our photographic memories of a previous visit to the city by Her Majesty the Queen and Prince Philip.

A goodwill visit that celebrated her Golden Jubilee in 2002. Pictures of the Royal couple at Bath Abbey and the Royal Standard flying over the Guildhall.

  1. Dear Richard I was Mayor when the Queen came to Bath on the Millenium visit – there was a lovely photo of us all outside the Guildhall with lots of children . I’m travelling back from Cornwall today but could send it to you with a few reminisces when I get home later today . It was an unforgettable day for so many Bathonians .
