Davina Ware wrote to say how a visit to the new play area in Sydney Gardens was marred by finding nowhere to sit to watch grandchildren play – especially if you are elderly or infirm.
Well Davina, Keith Rowe – who is the Parks and Greenspaces Team Manager – has informed me that ‘we have now installed a number of new benches in and around the play area.’

Meanwhile, looking at the weather forecast, I think any play today will involve lots of sunscreen, hats and even umbrellas!
