Showing you care

Bridgmead, one of Bath’s best-known residential care homes is celebrating its 30-year anniversary and the Trustees and Friends are organising a Garden Party in a wonderful 4-acre garden at Northend in Batheaston.

Marian McNeir MBE is one of the Patrons and told me that she got involved when her mother was a resident there. Marian praised the home and the wonderful staff: “ My mother was so happy at Bridgmead and so well looked after – what I will never forget was the way she was loved by the dedicated team of carers – they could not have been more caring. “

Bridgmead is having a series of fundraising events with the aim of raising £ 1 million to renew the flood defence systems.
Nick Coates, Chairman of Trustees added that the enviable position of the Home on the banks of the River Avon in St Johns Road also brought a danger of flooding which used to be calculated as once in 100 years and now with global warning it might be once in every 25 years.

But, as Nick said, we can construct excellent flood defence systems which will ensure the safety of our residents but they will be very expensive, hence our fundraising. “

There are tickets still available for what promises to be a memorable Garden Party in a stunning garden in Northend.
