Bumped into some bath in Bloom volunteers busy clearing weeds and rubbish from the community garden at the city end of Walcot Street.
Barry Cruse MBE who is their Hon President came over to tell me that they were preparing the ground for some extra planting in the near future.
He also asked me to tell you all that they ‘are seeking new members to join the Bath in Bloom committee. Anyone with basic horticultural knowledge, commitment, drive, energy, and a love of Bath who is prepared to help with occasional planting, litter picks, etc should please make contact via our web site www.bathinbloom.org‘
You may also like to know that this year Bath is in the RHS Britain in Bloom national finals and the SouthWest in Bloom Champion of Champions competition – so it’s going to be a busy year!
