World Water Day

Believe it or not, today is UN World Water Day and the European Historic Thermal Towns Association – of which Bath was one of six founding members in 2009 – is introducing an annual celebration.

if you click on https://ehtta.eu/world-water-day/ you can see what is going on across mainland Europe. Unfortunately, l don’t see Bath doing anything??

So it was good to hear from Paul Simons who is Chair of Trustees at Clevedon Pools – which is currently being restored and due to reopen this summer.

An artist’s impression of how the restored ‘Pools’ might look when it reopens

Paul tells me:

‘Next year, when Cleveland Pools is once again open for swimming we will commemorate this important event and ask our friends at the Roman Baths and Thermae Bath Spa to join us too.

To assist with the completion of the Pools project our current Crowdfunder scheme has reached £59,126 of the £80,000 target with 18 days to go. Please remind your subscribers that they can donate on www.clevelandpools.org.uk to help the Trust to reach its goal.’
