Print it.

Here’s something to brighten your day. Go visit an art exhibition – by a local printmaker – at the Bath Royal – aka BRSLI in Queen Square.

Jacky Wilkinson writes:

“I wondered if you could draw attention to a free-to-enter exhibition of wonderful, colourful printmaking being staged for two weeks from this Saturday at BRSLI by Howard Jeffs, a member of the Larkhall-based Bath Artists and Printmakers.

He currently has a taster show of some of his work in the window of the studio (pictured) which is just down Upper Lambridge Street from « The Square ».

There are 30 members in the group and many of them are selling their original prints and cards from the studio. There are courses as well – now that’s an idea for a gift! Just pop in and have a chat and a look around.

Here’s one of his etched Lino relief prints, which will be in the BRSLI show. It’s one of my favourites, says Jacky.

It’s a sobering thought that this lively group was under threat recently after the landlords obtained planning permission to change the workshop into – yes you guessed it – student flats! Luckily the lease has been renewed and the planning permission has lapsed.”

Happy to mention Jacky.
