Emergency works are going to force the closure of St Saviours Road in Larkhall on July 31st for an anticipated two days.
It’s to ‘rebuild one precast chamber in the footway and demolish one existing box or cabinet base’.
I read that as some space under the pavement haas become unsafe?
The official notice says:
‘The road will be closed at St Saviour’s Road, Larkhall from its junction with Lambridge Place to its junction with Larkhall Square / Upper Lambridge Street, but the closure shall not apply to any vehicle associated with the works.
Alternative Route: St Saviours Road – Upper Lambridge Street – Lambridge Street – London Road – St Saviours Road.
The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.’
