Those South West in Bloom judges were in the city this week which means our local Bath in Bloom organisation, the Bath BID and B&NES Parks Department staff will all have their fingers crossed and the glint of gold in their eyes.
A lot of hard work – under very difficult conditions – has gone into making our city welcome summer visitors with flowers.
While l realise many businesses have to try every trick in the book – during such difficult conditions – to attract trade and would not be able to afford to do such large ‘floral’ displays with the real thing – l have to say l prefer Nature’s colour to plastic.
The city’s pride is at stake. We apparently won Gold and we category winners in the Britain in Bloom Southwest competition back in 2019.
