Monumental

Popped up to St Mary’s at Upper Swainswick between the showers and pleased to see the restoration of the two Grade 2 listed chest tombs continues to go well.

They are both being given a solid core before the ornamental Bath stone surround of these early 18th century monuments is carefully repositioned.

The work is being carried out by Sally Strachey Historic Conservation.

Meanwhile – in town – l wonder which of these telecommunications ‘stations’ you prefer?

  1. Celia Hutton writes: ‘I think it’s a good idea to use the surfaces of these boxes for something like wise comments as per M.Ali; doing the graphics would make a task for a committed citizen/art student, cause people to stop and think, and get there before the rubbish artists.
