Just been informed B&NES planning has given Samuel Smith Old Brewery another three years to get on with converting the old KES School in Broad Street – which they have owned for many years – to hotel use.

They’ve also given themselves planning permission to carry out repairs to the Laura Place Fountain which has also been in a mess for some time now.

Let’s see which of these rather neglected city features gets some TLC first.
