Holburne goes potty!

Potted plants galore this week-end as the Friends of the Holburne Museum are holding their first annual fund-raising plant sale since 2019.

Chairman Jonathan Davis tells me:

‘The Plant Sale, is held in the Museum’s gardens, where we will be creating a ‘pop-up mini garden centre’ on Sunday 9th May 2021 (10am to 2:30pm).

We bring together some of the best nurseries in Bath and beyond, along with stands selling homemade produce, high quality secondhand books, plus free expert gardening advice, and an outdoor cafe with refreshments and homemade tea-time treats etc.

This year is the first time we’ve been able to hold the Plant Sale since 2019, so we hope to make it a special success.

We welcome donations on the day of cakes, home-made produce (please label the ingredients), books and plants to sell on our Friends’ stalls. All proceeds go to support the educational work of the Holburne.

The sale also heralds events the Museum is planning, later in May, to celebrate 10 years since the Holburne re-opened with its magnificent new extension.”

Thanks for that Jonathan oh – and l know not all the stalls are selling plants. There is a book stall and Jonathan will be manning it too!
