Faith in the future.

Must say the new ‘Newark Bridge’ is settling in nicely to a rapidly changing landscape down on the banks of the River Avon where it will provide a pedestrian link between the Bath Quays North and South development sites.

And from the roof of the soon-to-be-demolished Avon Street multi-storey car park, a view of the old coach park – with an enlarged footprint now that the adjoining toilet block has been demolished. This is also part of the forthcoming Quays development.

Meanwhile, building work is way above ground level now on the new 198-bed lifestyle hotel going up on the site of what was Bath College’s Allen Building on James Street West.

It’s all part of the city’s commercial future and evidence of faith in new prosperity once this pandemic has passed.
