Trust CEO explains why she’s stepping down.

If you haven’t read the original story elsewhere on Bath Newseum – you won’t know that – after 13 years as Chief Executive Officer – Caroline Kay has decided to step down from her role with Bath Preservation Trust. She has given notice for the end of April.

Caroline told me that – although difficult decisions have had to be made because of the pandemic – she will leave the charity financially stabilised.

She hopes whoever is eventually appointed will continue to value the role heritage plays in this city but also look forward to embrace the future and share in a more diverse economy for the city.

In a Zoom interview with her, l asked why – with Covid 19 still ever-present – she had decided to choose this moment to take her hand off the BPT tiller.
