We will survive.

This week’s Bath on Tap heads for a city street steeped in history.

The centre of an industrious settlement that grew up beside the walled Roman town of Aquae Sulis – as both a residential and industrial centre.

Excavated evidence of Walcot’s Roman connections.

It made a living out of the visitors to the miraculous hot waters and – in a way – still does.

A street full of banners and bunting.

Times are hard on the retail front but the independent traders of Walcot Street have hung out the bunting to welcome locals and visitors alike in a positive way. Putting some fun back into retail.

Banners outside the famous Bell Inn

Here’s a group of creative people who won’t go down – on the business front – without a fight.
