A personal message.

An application has gone in for building 18 houses on a patch of land at the corner of Deadmill Lane and Ferndale Road on the A46 side of Bath in Lambridge.

The proposed access is directly onto this narrow and busy lane!! This is a dangerous rat run already and this development – ‘affordable’ homes with two car parking spaces each!! – will make it worse.

In my opinion, it is an opportunistic and over-packed infill on Green Belt land and, though they say runoff will be collected in ‘ponds,’ l think it will fuel the flood capacity of the Lam Brook which runs below this sloping site.

It would also be a further incursion into the beautiful Woolley Valley and a demolition of a wildlife corridor.

Bath needs affordable homes on student flats sites NOT the Green Belt. It’s so all abut profit eh?

If you live in the area and  can help us fight this the planning reference number is 20/00491/OUT
