Getting Bath back in the grooves.

With a Clean Air Zone coming into force – and much talk about schemes to restrict through traffic in residential areas – there’s a local pressure group pushing now for the return of a more environmentally friendly form of mass transport.

Trams beat jams say members of the Bath & Area Tram’s environmental conservation organisation who are holding a one-day conference – to push for their re-introduction – at Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution in Queen Square on Saturday, February 8th.

There will be presentations from industry professionals and politicians from 10 am until 4.30 pm.

I caught up with Dave Andrews, who is the Chair of the organisation, over coffee in Bath’s Covered Market and asked what they were hoping to get out of their one-day meet.
