TV dramas making Bath buzz.

Just recently 18th century Bath has been brought back to life as parts of our historic Georgian city have featured in filming for the Netflix costume drama Bridgerton.

At the same time – at other locations – ITV have been shooting scenes for a new detective drama called Invisible.

The city seems to have become a hot spot of filming activity and – despite any grumbles about disruption, seems our local authority is all for the buzz and free publicity it brings to Bath.

I have been talking to Cllr Paul Crossley, who is Cabinet member for Community Services – which includes heritage – and asked him if he thought the city’s appearances on the small screen were on the up.

  1. Perhaps they can spend some of the money they get from the film companies to mend the Guildhall steps.

  2. Glad to hear Mr Crossley say he plans to discourage day trippers, so I’d be interested to know how?
