Disruption to Recycling Collections – update: Thurs 7th Jan

Another press release from B&NES:

We have been advised that there is still ongoing industrial action by staff working for our recycling contractor Kier, in addition, to the ongoing overtime ban staff will now be taking part in strike action on Friday 8th January.

As a result of this, if you were due to have your recycling and food waste collected on Thursday 7th January (including those re-scheduled from Wednesday 6th January) there may be some disruption to your recycling and food waste collections. If your recycling and food waste was scheduled for Thursday 7th January and has not been collected please put it back out for collection tomorrow (Friday 8th January). A number of crews will be working with an aim to clear this.

If your recycling collection and food waste is scheduled for Friday 8th January, unfortunately, collections will not take place on this day. Please hold onto your recycling and food waste and put it out for collection on Monday 11th January 2015. Please continue to check our website http://www.bathnes.gov.uk and Twitter feed @bathnes for any updates. Please note that refuse collections will take place as normal.

Our recycling centres at Keynsham, Old Welton and Bath are open Monday – Friday 8 am – 4.15pm, Saturday from 9 am – 3.45pm and on Sunday from 9 am – 1 pm Facilities to recycle all of the materials collected as part of the kerbside recycling collections, including food waste are available at all three sites.

On behalf of our contractor, we continue to apologise sincerely for any inconvenience caused.
